KNOWLEDGE GURUI am a TEACHER and I truly LOVE my job. (#lovemyjob) I love everything about it ... inspiring colleagues, supportive administration, Jaguar Nation events, amazing students (parents, too) ... and who could forget summer vacation!!
I am a product of Lewisville ISD - from Highland Village Elementary School to graduating from Marcus High School, I haven't moved around too much. I studied Journalism and Public Relations at The University of North Texas. In addition to teaching English and Journalism, I love all things technology and try to share all I can with my colleagues and students.
I'm really geeking out about technology as I get ready for the 2017-18 school year ... I was selected to pilot new technology devices in my classes. I'm can't wait to see what techie toys the district brings us for play with, um, I mean ... for educational use!! (ha ha ha) |
Technology Device Pilot Program
I'm really geeking out about technology as I get ready for the 2017-18 school year ... I was selected to pilot new technology devices in my classes. I'm can't wait to see what techie toys the district brings us for play with, um, I mean ... for educational use!! (ha ha ha). Lewisville ISD is looking for what will be the best fit as the update of student devices is quickly approaching. Will it be iPads, Macbooks, or a combination of both?? That's where the device pilot program comes in. Who best to provide feedback for what is needed, than our students themselves. As an English teacher, of course I found a way to incorporate this feedback into our weekly writing assignments. I encouraged my 4th class to write detailed feedback throughout the three round process to share with our district administrators. They really took this task seriously and worked hard to test out each device. My class was really split ... some love their iPads, while some liked the MacBooks more.

Krueger's District & Campus Involvement
Honors & Recognition
FM9 Teacher of the Month - December 2017 (from Will Skelton, FM9 Principal)
Mrs. Krueger has served our campus in so many ways…. Teaching English & Journalism, Mrs. Krueger has also served on our Design Team & sponsors the Flower Mound Sports Network. Mrs. Krueger does a fantastic job managing our campus website & social media outlets, and is always willing to jump in and help with any campus initiative. I know many of us often utilize Carie’s expertise in the area of technology… Mrs. Krueger has presented at various technology conferences around the state and always represents our campus and LISD in a very positive way. Guys - she even sponsors the darn ping-pong team! I know I have left some things out, but I would like to thank Carie for contributing to our campus in so many ways. Congrats to Mrs. Krueger! I'm Twitter Famous! (ha ha ha, not even close)
Feel free to follow me on the Twitter ... but don't be disappointed when you find out that I'm just your average, crazy teacher who loves being nerdy about Harry Potter, posting random thoughts/funny photos, or bragging about my great students and all things Jaguar Nation (#lovemyjob). I do like to follow great educators from around the country to get inspiration for lessons, projects, and support.
I'm not sure if "Twitter Famous" is something that I truly aspire to be ... but, if the fame comes with a little fortune, then count me IN!! (ha ha ha) Now it's up to you ... if my Twitter world is something you want to check out, then don't let me slow you down ... click follow and enjoy!! :-) |
